EARTH

Never too late to post about #EarthDay. With the numbered days we have left, I think this is more than a call for mere celebration. Actions have been pushed to happen since then, and yet, only a few listened. It is nice that we are aware, and individually, we show care to expand the remaining years of our home. But the truth is, big corporations have to take a step, either back or forward long as the common goal is achieved – to lessen their deteriorating impact on the environment.

To make it more feasible, reaching both businesses and the masses, we need a leader who gives importance to environmental issues. A leader who advocates, collaborates, and jointly plans with different environmental groups. A leader who has a plan – presidential aspirant VP Leni Robredo. With a commitment to ensuring people-centered sustainable development may it be food security or the nation’s biodiversity.

While it is no longer a secret that my choice is VP Leni, I would still like to use my platform and help people understand why she is the best choice. Through literature and art, I will campaign for #LeniKiko. For two weeks, before the upcoming Philippine elections, my feed will be painted pink. I couldn’t go to sorties or house-to-house campaigns but the desire to volunteer for a better six years of my country is strong.

EARTH

Each beat has a message it tries to plea

A celebration is less than it needs

Remix of anger, despair, and hope that somebody still cares

The solution lies in the huge monsters disguised as needs

Home breathes slowly and weakly than ever imagined
