Music is medicine, EXO is my favorite pill. It is how I complete today’s prompt for #escapril2022. Today marks the 10th anniversary of my ult K-Pop boy group, EXO, and I figured that a way to pay tribute to the love and company they gave me all these years is poetry. However, it won’t be enough to tell how EXO has been there through my rough and fun moments. I think I’d make a blog about this! Or even K-Pop in general.

up until now, hard to tell
the stories of my past I
pushed to shove while ten so
every day doesn’t seem so bad
for a child ranked the ugliest.
then you came into my life,
blooming colors on the gray home
crossing over language to instill meaning
that the world may turn black
